Joining our group:

I am currently accepting new students and postdocs to join my group at UC. If you are interested in joining as a master’s or Ph.D. student, please apply to our program. The application deadline is typically at the end of July each year.

If you are interested in joining as a postdoctoral researcher, please take a look at the fellowships and programs that are typically available each year:

Please contact me if you are interested in joining the group.

Previously mentored students and postdocs:

  • Richard Brooks (graduate student at University College London, now a postdoc at Boston University), as part of the pre-doctoral program at the Flatiron Institute in Fall 2024, which led to a publication: Brooks et al., 2025.
  • Elise Darragh-Ford (graduate student at Stanford), Fall 2023–Summer 2024. I advised Elise on a research project that became part of the final chapter of her Ph.D. thesis and was later published in ApJ.
  • Dr. Silvio Varela (graduate student at Universidad de La Serena, now an ALMA postdoc at Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María). I am currently co-advising Silvio on a research project (paper in preparation).
  • Arpit Arora (graduate student at the University of Pennsylvania). I co-advised Arpit on a series of papers for his Ph.D. thesis. See our papers here.
  • Hayden Foote (graduate student at the University of Arizona). In Fall 2021, I co-advised Hayden on a research project in which he first proposed that the Segue 2 galaxy collided with the Cetus–Paca stream. This later led to Foote et al., 2025.
  • Ludia Adhikary (undergraduate at CUNY), supervised through the AstroCOM CUNY/CCA program in New York City, Summer 2022–Summer 2023. Ludia presented her work at the CCA symposium and presented two posters: one at the SACNAS conference in 2022 and one at the Winter AAS meeting in 2023.
  • Stephanie Carolina Cely Rodriguez (undergraduate at Universidad Nacional de Colombia). I advised Stephanie during the RECA summer program in Summer 2022. She successfully graduated in Summer 2023. A talk from the RECA symposium can be watched here.
  • Andrew Eden (undergraduate at Florida Institute of Technology), Fall 2022–Fall 2023. I advised Andrew on his undergraduate thesis project.
